Ever wondered why you're not made of antimatter?


... that's just what the LHCb experiment aims to find out. In the Big Bang, the beginning of our Universe, matter and antimatter were created in equal amounts. But somehow the antimatter disappeared and our Universe formed from just the matter that remained. Physicists think a strange effect called "CP violation" plays an important part in the story.

So what is "CP violation"?,  and where did all the antimatter go?

and antimatter.
